Withernsea

17/11/2019, With the cod season up and running on the Holderness Coastline it was the perfect opportunity to see if we could hook into a cod or two, 4 of us headed to the beach at Withernsea North we got set up and started fishing, rigs were shorerigsforrods.co.uk size 2/0-3/0 Pulley Pennel rigs using frozen lug and dirty squid for bait, I managed a dogfish, whiting and finally a 3lb Codling which I was chuffed with on a day where conditions proved a little testing with a south easterly wind picking up and a large swell building, all in all a good start to the winter season, and all fish returned alive and well, good luck to all the lads and lasses fishing in the Daiwa match tomorrow the 18th of November!
